Get in the Game
One in two girls drop out of sport by age 15.
It doesn't help that they don’t get nearly as much support
as their male counterparts. So we worked with Cadbury
to help change that.
We identified key pain points that often lead girls to drop sport, like the fact that many feel uncomfortable in their standard issue uniforms.
The $150,000 worth of grant money shared with regional clubs across the country helped address this.
It's hard for girls to believe they can be something they can't see. So we hosted workshops at regional clubs run by Cadbury's professional female sporting ambassadors, like AFLW player Akec Makur Chuot of the Richmond Lions, and Women's Rugby player Mahalia Murphy of the Wallaroos. Giving young girls the chance to be inspired by the best.
We created two films
that captured the joy our young athletes felt meeting their role models, and receiving new uniforms and grants:
